Our Capabilities

One shop, every
mechanical discipline

Starling Engineering Company Limited couples machining, design, automation, maintenance and fabrication into a single accountable engineering floor in San Po Kong, Hong Kong.

Services in detail

Six core disciplines, one integrated shop floor. Scroll through the list, or talk to us about a combined scope.

A machine is a chain of functions, and a weak link in one discipline drags down the whole line. That is why we keep machining, design, automation, maintenance and fabrication under one roof. When the same engineers who modelled a part also cut it, wire it and later maintain it, nothing is lost in translation and accountability is never split between strangers.

01

Precision Machining and Tooling

We cut, turn, mill and grind components to tight specifications on modern CNC and manual machines. Our toolroom also designs and builds jigs, fixtures and custom cutting tools, so repeat parts stay identical run after run. Material choice, surface finish and dimensional reporting are handled in-house, giving you one accountable partner for critical metal parts.

Every machined component is checked against its drawing, and critical dimensions are recorded so you have a traceable record of quality. Whether you need a single prototype or a steady flow of spares for older equipment, we source the right material, program the machining, and deliver parts that assemble first time.

02

Mechanical Design and Drafting

From a sketch or a goal, our engineers develop full mechanical designs: moving mechanisms, frames, housings and machine layouts. We produce clear drawings, bills of materials and assembly instructions that workshops and suppliers can follow directly. Design reviews check stress, fit, service access and cost before anything is cut.

We also help you improve existing equipment. If a machine is slow, noisy or unreliable, we analyse the mechanism, redesign the weak points and issue drawings your own shop, or ours, can build from. Betterment projects often recover their cost quickly through higher output and lower downtime.

03

Automation and Control Systems

We integrate PLC logic, sensors, variable-speed drives, pneumatics and operator interfaces into machines that run reliably on their own. Our build and panel-shop standard keeps control wiring tidy, labelled and safe, and our on-site commissioning checks every sequence against the process it serves before handover.

Automation brings the most value when it is designed around your operators. We build screens that match how people actually work, alarms that point straight at the problem, and safety guarding that meets the relevant standards, so your team gains a partner on the floor rather than an opaque black box.

04

Plant Maintenance and Field Service

Planned maintenance and quick response keep your plant moving. We set up inspection routes, lubrication schedules, and wear-replacement tasks that stop small faults from becoming long breakdowns. When a machine does fail, our field engineers diagnose, repair and verify so you get back to production fast.

Good maintenance is scheduled work, not heroics. We build a maintenance plan matched to your equipment and your shift pattern, keep a clear record of every visit, and make sure spares for critical components are identified in advance so downtime stays short when a failure does happen.

05

Custom Fabrication and Welding

We fabricate frames, guards, tanks, chutes and structural assemblies from steel, stainless and aluminium. Mig, tig and arc welding, plus pressing, bending and finishing services, let us deliver custom steelwork that matches your drawing and fits your operation without rework.

Safety is often a fabrication job as much as an engineering one. Guards, access platforms, walkways and lifting fixtures built to a proper standard protect your people and keep inspectors happy. We design and build such fabrications, or make them exactly to your drawing.

06

Testing and Commissioning Support

Before a machine or line enters service, we run functional checks, pressure and run tests, and safety inspections. We prepare test records, calibrate gauges and instruments, and train your operators and maintainers so the system runs correctly from day one and stays predictable afterwards.

Commissioning is where a design proves itself or fails. We approach it methodically, checking each subsystem in a safe order, picking up small problems while they are still cheap to fix, and handing over a machine that is proven, documented and understood by the people who will run it.

How a project moves through our shop

From first contact to handover, you always know where your work stands. Our process is simple and transparent.

01

Enquiry

You send a drawing, a specification or a description of the problem. We confirm scope and ask any clarifying questions.

02

Quotation

We respond with a clear price, timescale and set of assumptions, so you can decide with confidence.

03

Design and approval

Where design is needed, we model the solution and agree it with you before any metal is cut.

04

Build and inspect

Machining, fabrication and automation are carried out with inspection checkpoints and clear reporting.

05

Commission and support

On site, we install, test and train, then back the work with responsive aftercare and maintenance.

Every service above is run by the same engineers who can see the whole machine. That closeness is why our work fits, couples and lasts.
